Post Divorce/Post Relationship
Mediation

Post-divorce or post-relationship mediation focuses on issues that arise after you have finalized your agreement and is focused on your co-parenting relationship. Topics usually covered are things such as new relationships, former spouses/partners, changes that have occurred in work or living arrangements.  Many topics arise after families are no longer under one roof and need to figure out how to move forward as a new version of their family.
Relationship Mediation

Tenant-Landlord & Neighbor Mediation

Mediation is a voluntary process in which people with a disagreement meet together with a trained, impartial mediator. The mediator listens to both sides and guides the parties in clarifying and discussing the issues, identifying areas of agreement, developing possible solutions, and writing their own mutually satisfying agreement.

Mediation can be a highly useful approach to addressing conflicts that arises in the context of neighbor-to-neighbor relationships. Often, beneath the conflict is a relationship that, with mediation, might be preserved for the benefit of future dealings, not to mention daily life. Our mediators are trained to create a space where power differentials are neutralized and participants may engage in a conversation that they may not otherwise be able to have, and where resolution that satisfies both parties is possible.

Co-parenting Training Sessions

I offer co-parenting coaching for parents who are interested in trying to work together in some fashion raising their children.  Obstacles come up when parenting styles are different from one another.  Once these differences are addressed, it is easier to co-parent or parallel-parent your children.  The intention is to focus on your children and what they need from you as parents during a difficult transition in their lives.

Eldercare & Guardianship Mediation

Eldercare mediation is a decision making process available to families facing difficult choices regarding an aging parent or loved one. Seniors are living longer than ever before. As they age, important plans often need to be made, including: where they are going to live; how financial affairs should be managed and by whom; what kind of medical care is appropriate; and whether or not they should continue to drive. Making these determinations usually requires troublesome conversations within a family. Such discussions can lead to profound conflicts that must be resolved before the elderly loved one can be assured of a safe and comfortable environment in which to live out their days.

Workplace Mediation

Workplace Mediation is a confidential, informal and voluntary process whereby an impartial mediator facilitates communication between those in dispute to assist them in developing mutually acceptable agreements to improve their future working relationship.  Mediation can be effective in both union and non-union settings and at all levels of the organization.
